BWC’s core hours of operation are Monday‑Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on‑site at one of BWC’s seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex‑time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00 a.m. or as late as 8:30 a.m. Flex‑time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing:
- Performs clerical tasks in support of the Policy Processing Teams, Claims, and Mailroom departments
- Images employer documents transferred into the Policy Processing Team workflow
- Assigns a second level of categorization based on transaction type
- Types dates received and policy numbers as provided
- Places blocks on policies with invalid addresses in Core Suite and uses available information to identify policy and/or claim numbers
- Processes incoming and outgoing policy processing and claims mail, emails, and faxes
- Performs daily correspondence duties, including processing bank correspondence via the bank website
- Updates employer addresses using the system
6 months training or 6 months experience in using personal computer & related business office software; 6 months training or 6 months experience in office practices & procedures.
- 6 months experience as Office Professional 1, 12141.
- Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Clerical & Data Entry
Major Worker Characteristics:Knowledge of: BWC policies & procedures;
Division & departmental policies & standard operating procedures; BWC forms; office practices & procedures; public relations; customer service principles; BWC document retention schedules & Naming Policy guidelines.
Skill in: Personal Computer; software (e.g. Outlook E‑Mail, Right‑Fax, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Access);
Office Equipment (e.g. fax machines, telephones).
Ability to: forward materials to customers via US Mail, Express Mail, UPS, fax, & E‑Mail; identify customer needs when customer is unsure & follow up accordingly; carry out detailed but basic instructions; deal with problems involving few variables within familiar context; deal with some abstract but mostly concrete variables; maintain accurate records; cooperate with co‑workers on group projects.
