OverviewWe are seeking an Education Program Senior Specialist to join the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry within the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University. The Education Program Senior Specialist manages and administers operations in the undergraduate organic office. The Education Program Senior Specialist assists the Director of Undergraduate Organic Laboratories in selecting, hiring and supervising Graduate Teaching Associates (GTAs), undergraduate student associates (SAs) and Student Administrative Associates (STAs).
This role coordinates student and administrative activities, including information flow, document preparation, room scheduling and front-line customer service. The role also coordinates make-up exams and quizzes with individual professors; assists with distribution of course material to the organic GTAs; maintains class files for large enrollment classes; generates and maintains records for organic courses; manages course registration and enrollment issues; coordinates scheduling of make-up schedules and office hour schedules for teaching assistants.
This role coordinates with the SLDS office for all organic courses; prepares reports for student feedback based on stoichiometry calculations for the given experiments (percent recovery and percent yield).

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 4 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced degree in Chemistry may be desirable.
- 4-8 years of relevant experience (preferred).
- Pay range: $51,500 - $67,250 annually. Offers will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's budget, and candidate qualifications.
