Overview
The Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) seeks a Program Administrator (3) to provide strategic direction and manage cross-divisional projects. The role reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and works with the Chief Program Officer.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic administrative support to the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Program Officer.
- Manage and coordinate high-profile speaking engagements and public appearances.
- Coordinate and lead internal strategy meetings.
- Analyze and evaluate program policies and directives.
- Submit recommendations for programs and cross-divisional projects.
5 years training or 5 years experience in business administration, management or public administration. Or completion of an undergraduate core program in business administration, management or public administration; 36 months training or 36 months experience in a supervisory, administrative or managerial position. Or completion of an undergraduate core program for an academic field of study commensurate with the program area; 36 months training or 36 months experience in a supervisory, administrative or managerial staff position involving planning, research or policy/procedure development.
Or 1 year experience as Program Administrator 2, 63123. Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
- Excellent administrative skills.
- Skilled in change management with an ability to juggle several complex projects at once.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the State of Ohio government operations and regulations a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and proficiency with scheduling software.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with diverse stakeholders and experience in public speaking or presentations.
- Professional demeanor, strong presentation skills and the ability to represent senior executives effectively.
