The TeamThe Auto Onboarding team reviews applications for Auto‑Refinancing loans, Auto Retail Indirect loans, and Auto‑secured Personal Loans. These products are growing and dedicated agents will ensure their success.
Responsibilities- Review applications in a timely manner while strictly adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Communicate with customers and business partners as needed.
- Provide feedback and insights to improve products and internal tools, with an eye toward automation and growth.
- Alternate between core work responsibilities and slack coverage.
- First‑line responder for FCR/CE/CA questions.
- Stay updated on policy changes or program improvements.
- Detect abnormalities and bugs by analyzing documents, cases, and dashboards.
- Use critical thinking and good judgment in ambiguous situations.
- 3+ months of experience with Upstart Auto products or 9+ months of experience with Upstart Onboarding.
- Maintain high quality in core work with a 90% or greater 4‑week rolling average productivity score and a 95% or greater 8‑week rolling average quality score.
- Demonstrate integrity, ethics, and Upstart values at all times.
- Be patient alongside efficient, triage, prioritize responsibilities, take ownership, and drive problems to resolution.
- Make judgment calls amid ambiguity and understand the cross‑functional impact of decisions.
- Deep knowledge of Operations procedures and processes, especially with regard to auto products.
- Proactively seek ways to improve Operations daily.
Columbus, OH. The role is available in the following locations:

The team operates on East Coast time zones.
In‑Office RequirementsRequired to work from the Columbus office 2 days per week.
Travel RequirementsAs a digital‑first company, the majority of work can be done remotely. Employees are encouraged to spend high‑quality time in‑person, meeting once or twice per quarter for 2‑4 consecutive days.

Hourly rate range: $25.48 – $25.48 USD (non‑exempt). Eligible for overtime pay above 40 hours/week or 8 hours/day as required by state law.
