** Public Safety Dispatcher – Make a Difference Every Day
*** Answering emergency (911) and non-emergency calls
* Coordinating resources, and ensuring help gets where it’s needed
* Operating Public Safety Communication systems (911, CAD and radio)
* Dispatching police, fire, and security personnel
* Documenting critical events accurately
You will handle all public safety telecommunications, including answering 911 calls,
** evaluating the nature and severity of incidents**, and coordinating the dispatch of emergency units. Ohio State University Department of Public Safety Dispatchers have many tools and technologies available to enhance the safety of our campus community.
