Procurement Consultant

Our client, a leading organization in the utility and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Procurement Consultant to join their team. As a Procurement Consultant, you will be part of the Procurement Department supporting strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Procurement Consultant

Location: Columbus, Ohio - Onsite.

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for high-value and complex procurement needs.
• Lead and facilitate sourcing events with multiple business stakeholders, primarily for technology-based software and hardware solutions.
• Negotiate contracts, including pricing, terms, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage supplier performance, contract compliance, and risk management activities.
• Collaborate cross‑functional teams to ensure procurement aligns with business objectives and category strategies.

• Proven RFP sourcing experience, including redlining and contract negotiations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively.
• Experience facilitating sourcing events involving multiple stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience, including cross‑functional team collaboration.
