This role is ideal for a versatile professional who can effectively perform traditional business analysis responsibilities while also supporting project management and delivery activities as business needs require.
- Play a critical role in ensuring Gainwell meets our clients' objectives in key business and technology initiatives.
- Help coordinate a business analyst team's duties and activities on IT projects while mentoring newer team members through guidance and support.
- Serve as a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers, and technical teams to define, document, and communicate business requirements and expected outcomes.
- Work with clients to develop business specifications and requirements at the start of technical projects.
- Analyze, design, document, and recommend improvements to business processes that support client technology goals.
- Validate that requirements have been met through review and approval of testing results and deliverables.
- Utilize analytical tools and basic SQL queries to analyze data, validate requirements, support testing, and quantify the anticipated impact of proposed solutions.
- Partner with project managers to support project planning, status reporting, risk and issue tracking, stakeholder communications, and action item management.
- Flex between business analysis and project coordination responsibilities as business priorities and project needs evolve.
- 6 or more years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with 3 or more years of Medicaid and Medicare experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of technology delivery concepts, including system configuration, development life cycles, data interfaces, and batch processing.
- Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write and execute basic queries for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and research.
- Advanced proficiency with analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and requirements-management tools, including Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platforms.
- Strong client communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into actionable objectives and deliverables.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business process re-engineering capabilities.
- Experience supporting project management activities, including project planning, status reporting, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and execution tracking.
- Demonstrated interest in project management and a desire to grow into expanded project leadership responsibilities over time.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt between business analysis and project coordination responsibilities in a fast-paced client environment.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills with the ability to engage business leaders, clients, and technical personnel.
- A collaborative leader who motivates others to action and communicates complex business and technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
