Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Cost Controller / Change Control for the Life Science Construction sector. This role involves
- Implementing, administering, and maintaining a cost control system and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts for projects of medium complexity and value.
- Assisting in the preparation and review of cost estimates and providing cost information to support decision-making and alternative selection.
- Evaluating and analyzing fee proposals and bids, and providing recommendations for decision-making.
- Providing forecasts and cash‑flow analysis, maintaining and managing cost reports, and delivering regular updates on financial position.
- Assisting in the development, validation and maintenance of the project schedule.
- Developing reporting and tracking tools and generating cost reports on a regular basis, including evaluation of earned value.
- Building intricate spreadsheets for fast and accurate data manipulation of large datasets.
- Extracting and transforming data from multiple sources to support operational needs.
- Reconciling data to maintain a clean audit trail.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
- Track and manage change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assess and document the cost impact of each change order.
- Update project forecasts and budgets to reflect approved changes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all change control activities.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely review and approval of changes.
- Ensure change control procedures comply with company and client standards.
- 8+ years of cost control experience within construction.
- A recognized university degree in Construction Management or related field.
- On‑site presence and requirements may change depending on our client’s needs.
