Job Description

PCI is seeking an experienced Project Manager for its PCI Columbus 582 operations based in Dublin, OH. This individual will manage construction projects focused on Metal Studs & Drywall, Acoustical Ceilings, and Exterior Systems and Claddings.

  • Direct and manage the construction activities of projects to maximize margin contribution results.
  • Estimate, bid, and secure construction projects of sufficient revenue and margin to meet the prescribed business plan.
  • Initiate and maintain customer contact to secure profitable execution of work.
  • Interpret and analyze contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements for each project.
  • Manage job site personnel to maintain effective relations with owners, engineers, utilities, subcontractors, contractors, and unions.
  • Implement the corporate program regarding loss control and claims management related to workers’ compensation.
  • Analyze and monitor actual versus estimated costs to develop action plans where unfavorable variances are detected and ensure an effective job control system is utilized on each project.
  • Effectively estimate the majority of work applicable to the region and solicit assistance from the estimating department when necessary to maximize bidding activity without sacrificing quality.
  • Negotiate contract issues, variances, and change orders; manage scope changes, claims, and other project issues as required.

This position is safety sensitive.

Basic Requirements
  • A minimum of 5–7 years of construction management work experience.
  • Experience in commercial construction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work including Metal Stud Framing & Drywall, Acoustical Ceilings, and Exterior Systems and Cladding.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
  • Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.
  • Proficiency with computer takeoff and estimating software such as On‑Screen Takeoff and Quickbid.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and keep each on schedule ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Ability to communicate well with employees at all levels of the company.
  • Must be flexible and enjoy working with a diverse group in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management.
  • Local to the Columbus metro area is preferred.
