Concrete Foreman

Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs activities of assigned Concrete Carpenters, Concrete Laborers and Apprentices
• Interprets blueprints and job orders as needed for area of supervision
• Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of equipment and assigned team members
• Directs subgrade work, setting of forms and placing of concrete
• Understands schedules and manpower requirements for completion of projects
• Analyzes and resolves any issues on the project
• Ensures adherence of the Company’s safety policy and practices
• Manages crews of concrete workers
• Effectively allocates the amount of manpower needed per project
• Coordinating with Superintendents
• Problems solves project anomalies
• Contributes to maintain quality standards
• Assists with the placement of concrete for projects
• Meets with Owners, General Contractor and others in a professional manner and can communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company
• Manages materials and equipment allocation
• Determines materials, equipment and procedures required to achieve desired results
• Determines and abides by safety procedures based on job site conditions
• Possesses knowledge and understanding of commercial concrete construction, techniques and tools

• 4+ years’ experience in concrete
• Previous experience in the commercial construction industry preferred
• Understands the project plans and specifications
• Determines materials, equipment and procedures required to achieve desired results
• Determines and abides by safety procedures based on job site conditions
• Communicates equipment and manpower needs to meet schedules and deadlines
• Supervises and trains workers
• Allocates general and daily responsibilities
• Understands blueprints and drawings
