WSYX/WTTE is on the hunt for a powerhouse General Assignment Reporter – a relentless storyteller with the drive to inform, inspire, and elevate our community. We’re looking for a motivated, energetic, and innovative reporter who’s not afraid to push boundaries and deliver compelling content across platforms. The ideal candidate brings sharp news judgment, standout writing abilities, and a passion for breaking stories. Strong live‑shot skills and a fearless, curious mindset are musts.

• Create, shoot, write and edit meaningful stories for the station’s newscast that can be used across multiple platforms
• Provide news on‑air as directed from the news management team
• Engage with local community members
• Review material for fairness, accuracy, and balance
• Work closely with all members of the news team, including Producers, Editors, Anchors, News Directors, etc.

• Proven knowledge and experience working with current media creation tools and contemporary newsroom systems
• Excellent storytelling across multiple platforms
• Strong writing and copy‑editing skills
• 3 years of experience as a Reporter
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines
