Architectural Designer - Commercial & Senior Living
Location:
Columbus, OH
We are looking for an experienced Architectural Designer to join our Columbus team. This person will work on a variety of commercial and senior living projects and play an important role throughout the design and documentation process.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of architectural experience
, strong Revit skills, and the ability to take ownership of project work while collaborating with project architects, project managers, consultants, and clients.
- Develop architectural designs and construction documents for commercial and senior living projects
- Assist with projects from concept and schematic design through construction documentation and construction administration
- Produce and coordinate drawings in Revit
- Work closely with project architects and project managers to meet project scope, schedule, and quality expectations
- Coordinate with consultants and incorporate engineering information into architectural documents
- Participate in client meetings, project coordination meetings, and presentations
- Review drawings and documents for accuracy, completeness, and code compliance
- Assist with material selections, specifications, detailing, and project research
- Support projects through construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site observations as needed
- 5+ years of professional architectural experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- Professional experience with commercial and/or senior living projects
- Strong proficiency in Revit
- Understanding of architectural design, detailing, and construction documentation
- Familiarity with building codes and accessibility requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team
- Architectural registration or progress toward licensure is preferred

. Senior living experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with a solid commercial architecture background and the right project experience will also be considered.
