*** Qualifications (Who)
** This person supports the Design Solutions Manager by implementing and documenting Kay-Twelve’s design solutions – turning approved design intent into accurate mockups, product descriptions, furniture and materials specifications, and design-software files the rest of the team can execute against. This is a production and documentation-focused role: this person takes day-to-day production direction from the Design Solutions Manager, who is briefed at the Collaborate-to-Design handoff and translates it into direction for this seat, rather than this person independently setting design direction or client-facing strategy.

Strong attention to detail and follow-through define this person’s work. He or she is comfortable working from another designer’s direction rather than setting independent design strategy, communicates clearly and proactively with the Design Solutions Manager and project team, and brings a genuine team mentality to every assignment.

** Responsibilities (What)
** The Design Production Specialist’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
** Scorecard KPI:
** Design Deliverables On Time — selections and specifications completed by the deadline the Design Solutions Manager sets.
1. Receive design direction, guiding principles, and spatial strategy from the Design Solutions Manager, who translates the Collaborate-stage handoff into production direction for this seat.
2. Develop design mockups and product descriptions consistent with the approved design intent.
3. Prepare furniture and materials detailing, including finishes and specifications.
4. Manage design software files, keeping them accurate, current, and organized.
5. Support specification review and help develop installation documents for each project.
6. Take day-to-day production direction from the Design Solutions Manager and raise questions or design conflicts to them rather than resolving them independently.
7. Align design deliverables with the project schedule and milestone deadlines the Design Solutions Manager sets.
8. Support installation to help ensure final execution matches design intent.
9. Stay current with industry trends and product offerings in furniture, fabrics, finishes, and materials.
10. Source and help select furniture, fixtures, and decor items that match the design concept and client’s requirements, for the Design Solutions Manager’s approval.
11. Maintain accurate and organized design files, specifications, and documentation.
** What Success Looks Like:
