The Department of Anesthesiology at The Ohio State University is actively recruiting academic anesthesiologists with fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine to join our growing Division of Critical Care. We seek dedicated physicians committed to excellence in patient care, education, and academic scholarship. The medical center is experiencing growth of inpatient services, creating excellent opportunities to build upon and expand our multidisciplinary critical care medicine programs.
Our strategic plan includes $4 billion in facilities expansion and programmatic development over the next few years.
- Clinical practice in a high-acuity, multidisciplinary environment, including the Surgical ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, and Cancer Surgical ICU
- Work alongside a collaborative and dynamic team of anesthesiology-trained intensivists
- Engage in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in a vibrant academic setting.

- Potential leadership opportunities
- MD, DO or equivalent degree
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Critical Care Medicine Fellowship
- Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
- Licensed/license eligible to practice medicine in the state of Ohio
- Interest in academic medicine, including education, quality improvement, or clinical research
- Qualify for an academic appointment at Assistant, Associate or Professor rank
- H-1B visa sponsorship available for qualified applicants
The Division of Critical Care Medicine currently consists of 15 faculty members and continues to expand in both clinical footprint and academic visibility. The department emphasizes patient-centered, evidence-based care, education, and scholarly activity. The team provides care across SICU, CVICU, and specialized cancer surgical ICU services, with involvement in administrative and quality initiatives and active participation in professional organizations.
