The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Nuclear Medicine Physician/Nuclear Radiologist to join the Department of Radiology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.
Position Overview
The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine/Wexner Medical Center is seeking candidates for faculty positions in Nuclear Medicine who are passionate about collaborative, patient-centered clinical excellence, dedicated to advancing research and innovation, committed to education, and inclusive. The responsibilities of this position include patient care, research, and training graduate and postgraduate students.
The Division of Nuclear Medicine focuses on all aspects of PET, SPECT, and planar imaging, including high-volume PET/CT and a robust theranostics program. Faculty are supported by resources in imaging technology innovation, artificial intelligence, and health services research.
Department/Division Overview
The Department of Radiology is growing with expanded services at off-site imaging centers and ongoing renovations as part of a multi-year expansion project. The college and medical center provide extensive clinical, research, and educational resources.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Daytime primary coverage of imaging and therapeutic services with on-call structure and support coverage for residents.
- Maintain high-volume diagnostic practice and participate in clinically available radiopharmaceuticals and department-sponsored clinical trials.
- Contribute to day-to-day clinical operations of the Nuclear Medicine Division, including high-quality patient care and imaging operations.
- Education, Training, and Faculty Development: conduct clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related offerings; develop training opportunities for medical students, residents, and fellows; mentor residents, fellows, and faculty.
- Research and Scholarship: support clinical and translational research, may serve as PI or Co-I in grants or clinical trials; participate in department and college committees to represent research interests.
Job Requirements
- M.D., D.O., or Ph.D. in imaging or related field
- Board certification in Nuclear Medicine, or Radiology with subspecialty certification (ABNM, A , AO )
- Subspecialty fellowship in Nuclear Medicine if no Nuclear Medicine residency
- Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
- Commitment to and support of a diverse and inclusive culture
