We seek an academic Pulmonary/Critical Care physician in the Lung Transplantation specialty to join the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The role will be located on the main campus and will involve clinical care, education of medical students and trainees, and academic scholarship in research and discovery. Candidates are expected to hold an academic rank commensurate with experience—Assistant, Associate, or Professor—and demonstrate expertise in lung transplantation.
Requirements- Fellowship trained in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine with advanced training or experience in Lung Transplantation.
- Board Certified or Eligible in Adult Pulmonary Disease.
- Board Certified or Eligible in Critical Care Medicine.
- Active research program in basic, translational, clinical, or health‑services research desirable.
- Qualified for academic appointment at The Ohio State University. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
Clinical faculty (Assistant/Associate/Professor – clinical) have an MD, DO, PhD or other terminal degree and focus on clinical care, teaching, and/or research. Tenure‑track faculty (Assistant/Associate/Professor) focus on research, service, and teaching; tenure‑track faculty with MD/DO may also provide clinical care. Research faculty (Research Assistant/Associate/Professor) focus on research and are appointed for 1–5 years.
