Position: Physician - Department of Radiology, Chief of Thoracic Imaging Division (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

Position Overview

Thoracic Imaging Division Chief who meets a leadership-focused profile, passionate about clinical excellence, advanced research, education, mentorship, and patient-centered care. The Chief will lead the growth of OSUWMC’s thoracic programs within a rapidly expanding ambulatory and inpatient environment.

Department Overview
  • Main campus: New 830‑bed hospital tower, biomedical research tower, and a Health Sciences building for the College of Medicine.
  • Around the city: Two new ambulatory centers in New Albany and Dublin, and an upcoming outpatient facility in Powell (August 2026). Additional 16 centers are operational.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care within the Thoracic Imaging Service.
  • Coordinate daily clinical staff assignments to meet patient needs across the Medical Center.
  • Establish metrics and deliver data‑driven feedback to cultivate continuous improvement.
Administrative Duties
  • Lead executive vision and strategic direction for Thoracic Imaging, covering clinical care, growth, education, research, and innovation.
  • Advocate for faculty professional and academic needs, fostering collaboration and excellence.
  • Represent the Division in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
  • Recruit Thoracic Imaging faculty and professionals to support clinical, educational, and research missions.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures aligned with best practice standards.
Education, Research, and Faculty Development
  • Conduct educational offerings, including lectures and seminars, at OSUWMC and regional/national venues.
  • Collaborate with faculty to develop and lead a Thoracic Imaging Research Program, including clinical trial partnerships.
  • Mentor and sponsor residents, fellows, and faculty.
  • Conduct annual faculty reviews.
Requirements
  • MD, DO, or MD/PhD in a relevant imaging field.
  • Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Radiology (A , ABOR) with completion of a Thoracic Radiology fellowship.
  • Scholarly activity with a developing or established national reputation in Thoracic Imaging.
  • Preferred qualification for Associate Professor or Full Professor level;
    Assistant Professors with significant scholarly productivity considered.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills are desired.
  • Commitment to supporting the culture of the Department, Medical Center, and University.
