Overview
The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an academic Cardiologist to join the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. The Division is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible noninvasive cardiologist to join an elite team of academic physicians at the assistant or associate professor rank. The successful candidate will focus on both routine and complex cardiovascular care, including inpatient and outpatient consultative and primary services in a world-class facility at the Richard M.
Ross Heart Hospital. Interest in imaging and in clinical and extramurally funded research is desirable.
The Division collaborates with the Ross Heart Hospital, a leading facility with a multi-disciplinary team of cardiology and vascular medicine specialists and multiple fellowship programs. The majority of faculty are principal investigators on research projects across basic, translational, and clinical settings.
Responsibilities- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultative and primary cardiovascular care.
- Engage in clinical practice and participate in extramurally funded research.
- Develop or contribute to imaging activities as appropriate to the division.
- Contribute to teaching and scholarly activities consistent with the appointed academic rank.
- Board Eligible/Certified
- Successful completion of a US accredited cardiology fellowship
- Eligible for an Ohio Medical License
- Clinical and extramurally funded research desirable
- Qualify for an academic appointment at The Ohio State University – Academic rank and track commensurate with training and experience
The Division comprises over 60 cardiologists with focus areas including general cardiology, interventional, electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease, heart failure, heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, pulmonary vascular disease, women’s cardiovascular disease, cardiac MRI/CT, and cardio-oncology. The division is affiliated with the Ross Heart Hospital and operates across Ohio and Kentucky. The university and medical center rank highly in national listings and offer extensive clinical and research opportunities.
