Division OverviewThe Division of Rheumatology and Immunology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine seeks a highly motivated scientist focused on rheumatic autoimmune diseases to expand the current research program. This position is supported by an endowed professorship. The rank is open and will depend on the candidate’s research accomplishments. The successful applicant must hold an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD (or equivalent) and have a strong track record of high‑level publications and robust peer‑reviewed research funding, including NIH R01 or equivalent.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Writing and publishing research in high‑quality peer‑reviewed scientific journals; attending and presenting at national and international conferences; developing national and international scholarly reputation.
- Instructing and mentoring junior scientists, including doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents, and fellow trainees.
- Participating in department, college, and university committees and initiatives.
- Conceptualizing, planning, designing, implementing, and conducting research studies in the area of rheumatic autoimmune diseases; developing and writing grant proposals to maintain funding for the research program; obtaining and maintaining NIH R01 or equivalent funding.
- Doctoral degree in Immunology or a related field (MD or MD/PhD).
- Strong track record of high‑level publications.
- Strong track record of ongoing robust peer‑reviewed research funding—NIH R01 or equivalent.
