OverviewNationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, is recruiting a pediatric infectious diseases physician at the assistant or associate professor level, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in pediatric infectious diseases and demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence in patient care.
Clinical ResponsibilitiesInpatient consultation, ambulatory clinic referrals, attending on inpatient Infectious Diseases service. Faculty will participate in academic and scholarly work, including clinical and translational research, quality improvement initiatives and collaboration across multiple programs. Educational role includes teaching medical students, residents and infectious diseases fellows.
Essential Functions- Conduct patient assessments and diagnose medical conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, monitor progress.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Communicate with patients and families, provide education and support.
- Maintain accurate medical records, coordinate care with other professionals.
- Participate in training and education of medical students, residents, fellows.
- Stay up-to-date with medical advancements and research.
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent, required.
- Graduate of an approved Fellowship program if applicable, required.
- Medical License in the State of Ohio, required.
- Unrestricted licensed physician, required.
