Physician – Department of Neurology, Division of Neurohospitalist/Tele‑Neurology

Position Title: Neurohospitalist (Open Rank / Track Faculty)

Location: Columbus, Ohio – Wexner Medical Center

Position Overview: The Department of Neurology at OSU Wexner Medical Center is recruiting BC/BE neurohospitalists to complement our established neurologists. The Neurohospitalist will manage inpatients with neurological disorders across the medical center, including the emergency department, intensive care units, and consult services. Participation in the Teleneurology program is required to provide expertise to community hospitals via telemedicine. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with the applicant’s academic record and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient neurohospitalist care for patients with neurological disorders.
  • Manage cases in emergency departments, ICUs, and consult services.
  • Participate in the Teleneurology program, offering remote neurology expertise.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care and discharge planning.
  • Engage in clinical teaching and mentorship of residents and fellows.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and evidence‑based practice initiatives.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Neurology Residency Program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
  • Eligibility for an Ohio Medical License.
  • BC/BE Neurohospitalist track preferred; open to candidates with strong clinical and academic credentials.
