Physician – Otolaryngology, Neurotologist (Open Rank/ Track Faculty)## Department:

The Division of Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery within the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery seeks a highly qualified Neurotologist Surgeon-Scientist. We are recruiting an academic clinician with advanced training in both pediatric and adult neurotology, substantial expertise in lateral skull-base surgery, and a demonstrated commitment to a career integrating clinical excellence, education, and impactful scientific discovery.

The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative, well-resourced academic environment and play a meaningful role in advancing the department’s clinical, research, and educational missions. Applicants with research or clinical interests in Ménière’s disease are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Neurotologist provides comprehensive, high-quality care for adult and pediatric patients with complex otologic and neurotologic disorders. Clinical responsibilities include the evaluation and management of hearing loss, chronic ear disease, otologic trauma, vestibular disorders, cochlear implantation, and osseointegrated hearing solutions. The role requires advanced expertise in complex lateral skull base surgery, utilizing middle fossa, retrosigmoid, and translabyrinthine approaches, with a focus on the management of vestibular schwannomas, cerebrospinal fluid leaks, temporal bone tumors, and related skull base  addition to clinical excellence, the Neurotologist is expected to develop and sustain an externally funded research program as a surgeon-scientist, contributing to translational and collaborative research aligned with departmental and institutional priorities.

The position plays a vital role in the academic mission by actively participating in teaching and mentoring residents, fellows, medical students, and research trainees. The Neurotologist also engages in interdisciplinary collaboration across the medical center, partnering with neurosurgery, oncology, audiology, engineering, and basic science investigators. Scholarly contributions include peer-reviewed publications, national presentations, and service within professional societies, supporting the advancement of the field and the institution’s academic reputation.
