The Ohio State University Division of Human Genetics is seeking a dynamic genetic counselor for a clinical excellence faculty position in the growing clinical care area of Cancer genetics. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to clinical care, and research aimed at understanding and treating cancer, with teaching and mentoring responsibilities. The candidate will engage with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to lectures, seminars, and clinical rotation supervision.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical genetic services in cancer clinics as part of an academic clinical practice.
- Teach genetic counseling graduate students, medical students, residents, and fellows; mentor and supervise clinical rotations.
- Engage in translational cancer genetics research programs in collaboration with physicians, PhDs, and MDs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance cancer care and research.
Clinical faculty participate in academic clinical practice, education, and translational research in adult genetic specialties. Responsibilities include clinical care provision, teaching, and involvement in translational cancer genetics research, within the framework of the NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
