Job ObjectivesParticipate as part of the ESCCO Service Delivery Team in providing assessment, feedback, insight and services to assist students with behavioral and learning issues (EL) so they may succeed in the least restricted learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications- Experience with school-based teams; participation in the newly established ESCCO Service Delivery Team is required.
- Valid Ohio Teaching License.
- Master’s Degree preferred; current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is an asset.
- Extensive experience in school-based programming.
- Documentation of a clear criminal record in compliance with Ohio state statute.
- Compliance with drug‑free workplace rules and board policies.
- Experience writing, implementing, and monitoring individual plans of care.
- Ability to access community resources appropriate to the needs of students.
- Ability to cope with stressful traffic, weather conditions, and passenger distractions.
This assignment may require a valid driver’s license and access/availability of a reliable vehicle. Employees must meet all prerequisite and ongoing qualifications to be covered by the service center’s insurance carrier.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions- Promotes a favorable image of the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio and the ESCCO Service Delivery Team.
- Serves as a member of the ESCCO Service Delivery Team; collaborates with team members, school building administrators, and teaching staff.
- Provides consultation to facilitate evidence‑based behavior change assessment and intervention strategies.
- Guides completion of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and connects results to Student Behavior Support Plans (BSP); provides ongoing review of BSP implementation.
- Supervises and supports teaching assistants seeking certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- Provides feedback to district administrators on individualized School Plan of Support.
- Provides task analysis of learning and behavior performance.
- Maintains necessary documentation of student and individual performance toward the School Plan of Support and student Behavior Support Plans.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Performs other specific job‑related duties as directed by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
