Responsibilities- Perform basic administrative duties in the office.
- Assist in research laboratory and support faculty/staff academic programs.
- Conduct data entry and management using Excel to contribute to scientific manuscript development.
- Maintain freshwater mussel populations through propagation, animal husbandry, water chemistry monitoring, and facility maintenance.
- Participate in public outreach events related to freshwater mussel conservation.
- Provide excellent customer service and strong organizational skills while representing the department and university.
- Undergraduate student with familiarity in biology, ecology, and taxonomy of freshwater mussels and fishes.
- Proficiency in Excel for data entry and management.
- Ability to work flexibly within a 2-3 month timeline.
Student Assistant will work within the Aquatic Conservation Center, which is jointly operated by OSU, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and Ohio Division of Wildlife.
