Position: Learning & Development Specialist / Training Coordinator

Job Title: Learning & Development Specialist // Training Coordinator

Pay rate: $26.00/Hourly on w2 without benefits

Location: Columbus OH 43215

Duration: 3-6+ months

Shift Hours/Week: 30 // 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Review and interpret course outlines/syllabi provided by the Operational Readiness Manager and/or the Senior Training Coordinator, developed in coordination with internal teams and/or subject matter experts.
  • Design and develop multimedia training modules using Articulate (Storyline or Rise) and Animaker. Courses should follow the standard approach of microlearning or a full course, as determined by the Operational Readiness Manager or the Senior Training Coordinator.
  • Full Courses include.
  • Average of 4 lessons (maximum 12 lessons).
  • One video per lesson between 45-90 seconds, extending no more than 2:30seconds.
  • Including a welcome and overview video in lesson one.
  • One knowledge check per lesson with two questions per knowledge check.
  • Min. of one activity per lesson Final quiz.
  • Micro-learnings include.
  • Minimum of two videos between 45-90 seconds, extending no more than 2:30seconds.
  • Minimum of two activities.
  • Two knowledge checks with a minimum of two questions.
Required Skills:
  • Proven experience with Articulate (Storyline/Rise) and Animaker or similar video creation tools.
  • A background in instructional design or e-learning development.
  • Ability to transform raw content into engaging, accessible multimedia training.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and inclusive design.
  • Experience working with government, elections, or civic education (preferred).
