Description

Paraprofessional to support student safety, growth, and learning under the direction of the Intervention Specialist, and evaluated by the building administrator. Responsibilities include implementing components of students' IEPs, providing individual and group instruction, utilizing de-escalation strategies, and assisting with instructional materials and student data collection. Candidates must have a high school diploma and either an Associate's degree or a passing score on the Paraprofessional assessment (or obtain one within four months of hire), along with completing the OCALI "Strategies in Action" module within four months.

Preferred qualifications include experience working with children and crisis de-escalation certification.

7 hours paid per day

190 (182 work days and 8 paid holidays)

Insurance available through ESC of Central Ohio

SERS (School Employees Retirement System)

  • No degree and no experience: $18.12 p/hour
  • Bachelor's degree and no experience: $20.45 p/hour
  • Current and active teaching license: increases pay by $0.38 p/hour
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): increases pay by $1.00 p/hour
  • Rates of pay are increased with verifiable educational experience
  • Longevity incentive after 90 days of service

  • Bachelor's degree and no experience: $20.45 p/hour
