The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking dedicated and experienced veterinary general practitioners to join our faculty as Veterinary Curriculum Instructors (Lecturers, full‑time, teaching). This position is ideal for a veterinarian with a strong clinical background and a passion for teaching and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching & Student Engagement

Skills:
Develop and deliver laboratory session content for years 1–3 DVM students; develop and participate in OSCEs; mentor student development. - Communication &
Collaboration:
Facilitate laboratory sessions; provide didactic instruction; develop and participate in OSCEs. - Integrated Problems:
Deliver case‑based content to develop clinical reasoning and critical thinking.

Skills:
Collaborate with team to support course administration, update manuals, procure equipment, assist with IACUC protocols. - Integrated Problems:
Assist course coordinator with delivery and with creating case‑based content. - All threads:
Coordinate and collect assessment data, administer and grade assessments (OSCEs, EPAs, TBL, assignments).

- Plan and deliver the summer Spectrum of Care program.
- Teach and coordinate elective courses related to the Spectrum of Care certificate.
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years experience in general or mixed/livestock veterinary practice (board certified or eligible).
- Strong interest or experience in veterinary education.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Background in clinical teaching or adult education.
- Team‑oriented, interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students.
- Experience with online learning platforms and educational technology.
- Prior experience writing IACUC protocols.
- Experience administering clinical assessments.
- Letter of intent stating professional goals and interests.
- Curriculum vitae.

This position will require an in‑person interview with a demonstration of hands‑on teaching ability.
