Manhattan Prep is seeking expert GMAT teachers in New York City to instruct in-person classes. Online classes and tutoring may also be available. Teaching takes place primarily during evenings and weekends. This is a part‑time position: many of our instructors maintain full‑time positions, engage in creative or entrepreneurial endeavors, or pursue advanced degrees while teaching for Manhattan Prep.

5–15 hours/week, minimum 12 months. More or fewer hours may be available depending on preference and seasonal demand.

• $109/hr for classroom teaching
• $119/hr for private tutoring

• Listen empathetically and adapt to each student's thinking
• Lead dynamically, motivate, and sustain engagement
• Coach students to think critically, plan strategically, and take ownership of their learning
• Embrace a growth mindset: actively seek feedback, reflect on teaching, and continually improve
• Use data and structured reflection to make teaching more effective
• Are content experts with infectious enthusiasm; no "sage on the stage" mentality

• Must have a 99th percentile score (715+) on the GMAT Focus test
• Teaching or tutoring experience
