The Ohio School for the Deaf (OSD) is one of the oldest continuously open public deaf schools in the United States. We welcome approximately 150 Deaf and hard of hearing students to campus each year from around Ohio. We use Expanded Common Core in our classrooms and offer students opportunities to learn and grow socially and emotionally in a safe environment through extra-curricular activities.

What

You'll Do

The Literacy Specialist will work closely with our American Sign Language and English Specialists to support students’ literacy development through high-quality, research-based instructional practices that reflect individual learning needs, student data, and evidence-based strategies. The successful candidate will foster a well-managed, engaging, and creative learning environment that promotes language development, literacy growth, and academic achievement for deaf and hard of hearing students.
