We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join our Columbus, OH office.

In this role, you will assist and support senior engineers in designing complex electrical systems across a wide range of building types and industry sectors. You will partner closely with field staff, General Contractors, Architects, and Engineers to ensure that electrical designs are executed accurately, meet specifications, and maintain compliance throughout construction. You will also establish relationships with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to support business objectives, as well as mentor other professionals within the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) department to elevate design procedures within the MEP group and support high‑visibility projects from concept through construction documentation.

• Design complicated and various types of electrical systems utilized within the respective markets listed above.
• Assist field staff, General Contractors, Architects, and Engineers to ensure compliance with specifications and design during construction.
• Create and evolve system designs from concept to final construction document phase.
• Perform analyses and apply problem solving techniques to develop, innovative solutions.
• Perform a variety of complicated tasks and critical thinking.
• Mentor other professionals within the MEP department.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in electrical design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• Professional credentials (e.g., RCDD, LEED, WELL) are not requiredli>
• Ability to develop written specifications in AIA Master Spec and Specs Intact formats is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding/bonding, fire alarm, telephone/data, and other low voltage systems (paging, nurse call, etc.).
• Required systems and software expertise include Autodesk products (i.e., AutoCAD and Revit), power analysis software such as Easy Power and SKM, and lighting photometric calculation software such as Visual.
• Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Review, understand, and apply local, state and federal codes and standards related to the design and construction of project facilities.
• Must be able to follow and properly apply market specific guidelines, the practices and policies of the associated local and building codes, discipline, divisions and firm.
