• Inspect conventional and complex bridges, culverts, and structures in Ohio and nationwide under guidance of experienced Professional Engineers.
• Document and report bridge conditions for routine or in‑depth inspection assignments using tablets and cameras.
• Learn and/or develop skills to advance knowledge of the industry based on the Specifications for the National Bridge Inventory (SNBI).
• Write reports and perform analysis/load ratings of bridges and culverts working with DOTs, counties, and/or municipalities to assess bridge infrastructure.
• Prepare drawings in Micro Station or AutoCAD to assist with recommendations to clients for rehabilitation or preventative measures.
• Collaborate with DOTs, counties, and/or municipalities to assess bridge infrastructure.

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET‑accredited program in civil, structural or equivalent engineering.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
• Past experience with bridge inspection, report writing, and/or load rating is a plus.
• NHI/FHWA Inspection and SPRAT Level 1 certifications are desirable.
• Ability and desire to climb large bridge structures, able to withstand high levels of physical exertion including walking, climbing, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 60 lbs. of equipment.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 40%) throughout the U.S.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history is required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency is required (AutoCAD and/or Micro Station is a plus).
• BrM & BrR or other Bridge Inspection & Design/Rating software experience are desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Travel arrangements to and from work assignments, including airfare, hotel, and meals, are reimbursed. All safety training, equipment, tools, and technology are provided.
