LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join a leading manufacturing organization. This position is ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong background in mechanical engineering, team leadership, and process optimization. The successful candidate will oversee engineering operations, drive innovation, and ensure projects meet performance, quality, and cost objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, components, and production equipment.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment and process issues, improving reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, quality, supply chain) to support operational goals and new product introductions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal procedures.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and project reports.
- Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance throughput and reduce downtime.
- Manage vendor relationships for custom components, tooling, and equipment upgrades.
- Report on key performance metrics and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in CAD tools and familiarity with PLM/ERP systems.
- Deep understanding of GD&T, DFM/DFA principles, and manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly).
- Proven track record in project management and team development.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of industry standards (ISO, ASME) and safety regulations.
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 (based on experience)
