Base pay range
$50,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr
Job SummaryTrileaf is seeking a full-time, field Project Scientist with 0-5 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on commercial real estate and/or telecom projects, to include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) and Phase II ESAs.
This position will be remote & based in the Greater Columbus Area.
- Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site (3-4 days per week)
- Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phone
- Ordering & analyzing government database records
- Reviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs)
- Drafting standardized report using information from these various sources
- Perform QA/QC to the satisfaction of both management and clients
- Completing requested revisions & submitting report within pre-established timelines
- Conducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air
- Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards

- Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10
6) - Environmental Professional (EP)
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields
