Transportation Engineer 4 / Digital Project Delivery & Modeling Staff Specialist, PN

Responsibilities
  • Acts as a staff specialist covering all phases of a project’s design and digital delivery production workflow.
  • Develops strategies and leads the creation or modification of new systems for implementation of innovative digital project delivery strategies and solutions.
  • Leads and/or supports the development of in‑house model‑based deliverables and/or traditional plans for various construction projects.
  • Serves as contact for resolving complex BIM/Digital Delivery & modeling issues.
  • Assists engineering offices in evaluating new design policies.
  • Conducts quality assurance reviews and signs engineering documents as a registered professional engineer.
Qualifications
  • Licensed as a registered professional engineer by the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 months experience as Transportation Engineer 3 (73143).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license if assigned to operate a state vehicle for site inspections.
  • Alternatively, licensed as a registered professional engineer with 2 years experience as group or project leader or supervisor providing work direction and training to employees engaged in engineering projects, or 2 years experience in managing engineering research projects.
  • Equivalent of the minimum class qualifications may be substituted for the required experience but not for the mandated registration.
