Overview
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and data-driven performance improvement. The ideal candidate will be skilled in mapping current processes, implementing standardized work, and driving measurable gains in quality, throughput, and cost.
Responsibilities- Analyze, design, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost.
- Develop standardized work, process documentation, and visual controls to enable consistent execution on the shop floor.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and PDCA methodologies.
- Conduct time studies, line balancing, and workflow analysis to remove bottlenecks and increase capacity.
- Implement process controls and KPIs; monitor performance and drive corrective actions based on data trends.
- Support new equipment and technology implementations, including validation, capability studies, and training.
- Collaborate with quality to reduce defect rates, scrap, and rework through robust process design and problem solving.
- Partner with maintenance to develop preventative maintenance plans aligned with process requirements.
- Drive EHS improvements by assessing risk, enhancing ergonomics, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and present regular reporting on process performance, savings, and project status to senior leadership.
- 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience with Lean/Six Sigma tools (e.g., value stream mapping, DMAIC, 5S, Kaizen); certifications a plus.
- Proficiency with data analysis and visualization; experience with SPC, capability indices, and statistical methods.
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and digital manufacturing tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering measurable improvements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across production, quality, supply chain, and EHS.
- Knowledge of process validation, PFMEA, control plans, and documentation best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 based on experience
