Sr VDC Coordinator
We are looking for a senior VDC Coordinator to work on wireless telecommunications projects for data center clients in Baton Rouge, LA. This on‑site role supports the design and implementation of DAS, LMR, Site Radio, RoIP, Wi‑Fi, and tower studies. The position reports to the Manager or Lead Engineer.
Base pay range$ / yr – $ / yr
Responsibilities- Design wireless systems in iBwave and EDX
- Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages
- Coordinate with AHJs, radio system owners, and carriers
- Create or modify DIV‑27 specifications
- Conduct site visits and review technical documents
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years’ experience actively designing wireless telecommunications systems (LMR, Site Radio, RoIP, Public Safety DAS, Commercial DAS including OTA, Neutral Host, DRAN)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner, or equivalent
- Experience working with clients to identify wireless communications needs
- Strong troubleshooting skills for wireless communication system issues
- Knowledge of noise floor, SNIR, return loss, VSWR, NFPA 72/1221/1225, IFC section 510, carrier KPIs, IBC, FCC part 20/90/65, Moto Trbo, Motorola R56, DMR Tier III
- Familiarity with Navisworks
- Self‑motivation to coordinate cross‑discipline projects
- Excellent project management skills and experience with RFPs, budgeting, scheduling, and risk mitigation
- iBwave Level 2 Certification required
- Design of Wi‑Fi systems
- EDX or Motorola design certifications
- FCC GROL, NICET Design Certification, multiple OEM product certifications
- Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, EIT or PE
