Construction Materials Field Technician –

Join our dynamic team to support construction materials testing projects. No prior experience required; we provide paid training and cover certification fees.

  Activities:
  
  Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) on construction sites; execute tasks based on project requirements under senior guidance.
• Testing Procedures:
  Perform routine field and laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete using standard methodologies and equipment.
• Data Collection:
  Calculate and reduce data from samples and test results; assist with drafting and other administrative duties as requested.
• Communication:
  Maintain daily communication with site contractors, fellow technicians, and project managers; report changing site conditions and testing requests to supervisors; attend project meetings; organize and report equipment status.
• Training & Development:
  Receive training in ECS methodology for observations, inspections, and testing; document findings following accepted engineering practices.

• Support through skill enhancement programs.
• Encourage participation in internal and external training, including certifications such as OSHA 10, ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, state DOTs, WACEL, and others as appropriate.

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Willingness to learn heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
• Willingness to pursue knowledge of CMT principles, ASTM laboratory standards, and achieve certifications in soils, concrete, and radiation safety.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.
