A leading firm is seeking a qualified Sr. Transportation Project Manager to join a team of engineering professionals. Responsibilities- Oversite of teams conducting work on transportation projects, including roadway design, traffic operations, bridge design, transportation planning, and environmental assessments.
- Managing the preparation of engineering reports, plans, and specifications for various projects.
- Reviewing preliminary and final plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates, making necessary recommendations for modifications.
- Participating in contract bidding and administration as needed.
- Supervising and observing project design and progress, coordinating with City, State, and County officials and other agencies.
- Supervising junior engineers and technical support personnel.
- Coordinating projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and firm staff.
- Communicating and interacting with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others as appropriate.
- Resolving complex problems, such as conflicting design requirements and difficult coordination requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
- 10+ years of experience in the transportation industry.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is required.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of software systems: HCS, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, CORSIM, VISSIM, CUBE, Trans
CAD, Micro Station, Microsoft Office. - Experience with DOT projects.
