Senior Project Engineer - Roadway Design

We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local public agencies and state DOT’s.

• Serve as a project engineer responsible for various local agency and/or DOT roadway design projects.
• Assist with project task management, budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
• Delegate work to project team members.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Assist with the preparation of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
• Take a lead role in project planning, design, and implementation.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis and design tasks.
• Prepare complete project documents, ensuring quality and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Act as a technical specialist or advisor to upper level management and staff.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio.
• 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience in roadway/highway design, including ODOT experience.
• Experience with Open Roads Designer.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
