The SGCC provides 24x7x365 network monitoring and support of several of Client operating company's distribution networks that support AMI - Advanced Metering Infrastructure, DACR – Distribution Automation Circuit Reconfiguration, VVO – Volt VAR Optimization and Underground network services.
The SGCC provides level 1 and level 2 support for known telecom/distribution procedure-driven resolutions documented in a Knowledge Base library. This includes collectors, routers, access points, relays, capacitor banks, reclosers, line repeaters, eBridges, servers, gap RAGS, line regulators and meters.
The SGCC provides special-handling Microsoft server patching for Operating Company servers. The SGCC has defined SLA policies that exist within technology and with each of the supported operating companies that need to be met. Because of the critical and timely need to react to distribution network issues, the SGCC has a requirement of physical presence at one of two hardened NOC locations in the Columbus, OH area.
Tools Used
Telenium, Solarwinds. Alerts come in within these tools; also, Service Now will be used to create/manage incidents.
Shifts applicable
This will be 24x7 operations covering 3 shifts.
