Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Project Engineer – Water & Wastewater | Columbus, OH

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the planning and execution of water and wastewater construction projects in the Columbus market. This role offers hands‑on exposure to WWTPs, pump stations, utilities, and civil infrastructure, working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams.

• Support planning, scheduling, and budgeting for water and wastewater projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and contracts for scope and compliance
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, material takeoffs, and project documentation
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to maintain schedules
• Track quantities, production, and costs to support project controls
• Assist with field operations, safety, quality, and issue resolution
• Participate in meetings with owners, inspectors, and project stakeholders
• Support project closeout including as‑builts, O&M manuals, and punch lists

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 1–4 years of experience in water / wastewater or heavy civil construction
• Ability to read and interpret civil, utility, and process drawings
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, MS Office, and scheduling tools
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
