This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S.
-based office, but we intend to hire the “best” candidates.
As a Senior Structural Engineer professional within our Advanced Manufacturing team, you’ll work on a variety of projects related to Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, colocations, etc. You will perform various aspects of structural engineering assignments, increasing the depth and breadth of familiarity with design methods and tools. You’ll be a key asset, contributing to and working with a diverse team of engineers and designers on various capital projects.
You’ll liaise with other internal professionals and design departments for project delivery and coordinate designs with other Jacobs offices, both domestic and international. You’ll grow technically and professionally as you gain experience and expand your leadership role within the organization.
- Perform a variety of analyses.
- Create computer models for structures.
- Perform calculations for member designs and foundations, material take‑offs for estimating, prepare miscellaneous calculations, and assist with schedules.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Eight or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, and S3D.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
- Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry-relevant design codes and standards.
- Knowledge and application of building codes.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite and MS Teams for remote coordination.
- Ability to travel to various client sites (approximately 10% to 20% travel).
- Master of Science in Engineering.
- Experience with industrial metals projects including casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects.
- Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.

The base salary range for this position is $ to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
