Position: Project Engineer (Senior or Principal Level)
Location: Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia
Hours: 40 hours/week
Travel: Approximately 20% during project construction phases. Travel may include overnight stays and visits
Salary: $40-$75/h (Open based on experience and level)
Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (per level requirements)
- Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to drive technical conversations and lead meetings
- Experience coordinating engineering activities across multiple stakeholders
- Experience supporting projects through conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
- Experience leading engineering design reviews and managing RFIs
- Experience developing and managing Engineering Work Plans
- Experience coordinating work between engineering teams, contractors, OEMs, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving ability
Day to Day
- Serve as Engineering Lead for generation capital projects
- Develop and maintain Engineering Work Plans
- Lead engineering design reviews and manage RFIs
- Coordinate engineering efforts between, developers, A/E firms, OEMs, EPC contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Schedule and facilitate engineering meetings
- Provide engineering progress updates to project teams and stakeholders
- Support procurement activities
- Support construction and commissioning activities
- Manage technical interfaces across internal and external stakeholders
- Facilitate project closeout activities
- Travel to generation facilities and project sites as needed
