Job Description
As a member of the Administration and Planning Finance team, the Affiliate Financial Ops Senior Advisor is responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial compliance of one or more affiliated entities to the university. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with real‑estate development experience, a strong command of construction and property accounting, and a passion for creating financial clarity in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least eight (8) years of experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Willingness to adapt to new business technologies/processes and ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
Desired Qualifications
- 12 or more years of relevant experience preferred.
- Graduate‑level education (MBA or similar) and/or CPA license.
- Preparation of GAAP‑based financial statements and related disclosures and supplemental information.
- Experience with Nexus and/or MRI real‑estate accounting software or other financial and ERP applications; experience in project‑based budgeting.
Additional Information
The target hiring range for this job profile is $110,000 to $128,000 annually. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
