Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Senior Analyst
Position Summary:
The FP&A Analyst at Lifetime Quality Roofing plays a critical role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. This role partners closely with leadership and operations to provide data‑driven insights that support strategic decision‑making, improve profitability, and drive operational efficiency across residential and commercial roofing projects.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning & Forecasting: develop and maintain annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long‑range financial models; analyze revenue, margins, labor costs, material costs, and overhead by project, branch, or service line; support cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: prepare monthly financial reports and variance analyses (actual vs. budget/forecast); identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting financial performance; create dashboards and KPIs related to job costing, project profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Business Partnering: collaborate with operations, sales, and project management teams to improve financial outcomes; provide financial insights to support pricing decisions, bid evaluations, and project profitability; assist leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and strategic initiatives.
- Process Improvement: improve financial reporting accuracy, timeliness, and automation; support enhancements to job costing systems and financial tools; help establish standardized financial processes and best practices.
- Compliance & Controls: ensure financial data integrity and consistency with accounting policies; assist with audits, internal controls, and documentation as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, formulas).
- Experience analyzing P&L statements and financial drivers.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in construction, roofing, home services, or project‑based businesses.
- Familiarity with job costing and project margin analysis.
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems (Quick Books, Sage, Net Suite, or similar).
- Experience with BI or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Financial modeling & forecasting.
- Data‑driven decision making.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate financial concepts to non‑financial stakeholders.
- Time management and ability to handle multiple priorities.
