Actuarial Analyst II
Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Actuarial Analyst II completes projects and performs complex actuarial studies.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Performs key actuarial functions related to cost of care, understanding impact of provider and govt regulation changes and special projects.
- Designs and completes special projects such as understanding changes in cost and utilization at a claim level
- Responsible for educating and making recommendations on changes in expense and utilization that impacts the profitability of the business
- Responsible to develop, maintain and analyze reporting to support special projects and share findings regularly with market and project leadership
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS degree and to have passed a minimum of three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exams and a minimum of 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- Technical background in SQL, Python, R, or SAS for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and actuarial software tools.
- Experience working with large administrative claims datasets and healthcare cost/utilization metrics.
- Ability to apply actuarial judgment and statistical techniques to interpret and explain complex trends

* range for this specific position is $71,136 to $134,784.
