As a Barron’s Top 100 RIA firm and voted Best Places to Work by Fortune, Pacific Coast Business Times, Inc. (Best Workplaces), and Investment News, Mission Wealth is hiring a growth-minded Lead Advisor with a CFP or CFA designation to join our award-winning team! If you’re ready to elevate your career with a leading wealth management company with a commitment to giving back, let’s go!
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in business development and client advisory services. You define ambition, a sense of adventure, and a passion for purpose, both in life and in your approach to helping clients navigate their financial decisions. If you can articulate your past success in a demanding lead advisory role, steering client relationships and business development that drive results, we want to hear from you!
A Lead Advisor is primarily responsible for driving new business while maintaining a high standard of client service and team leadership. You’re articulate, polished, and have an aptitude for financial vernacular. Extremely analytical and a great listener, you will master data gathering, drafting goals, and creating financial plans that speak to the clients in “their” language. Your commitment to making a positive impact in other people’s lives parallels your drive for personal and professional growth.

- Lead a high-performing, growth-oriented team.
- Run a weekly team huddle and conduct regular check-ins (biweekly/monthly), quarterly conversations, and annual reviews.
- Provide technical financial guidance to clients and Wealth Advisors.
- 5-10+ years of experience in financial advisory services, including client relationship management, business development, and wealth planning.
- Extensive experience advising high-net-worth families on comprehensive financial planning, investment strategies, estate, tax, cash flow planning, and philanthropy.
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Money Guide, eMoney, Tamarac Advisor View, Holistiplan, and Hidden Levers.
- Proven ability to mentor, manage, and coach team members while driving revenue growth through custodial referral platforms, community involvement, asset gathering and COI & client referrals.
- The confidence, poise, and gravitas required to be a trusted advisor to affluent families.
- Ability to strategically align financial plans with a client’s overall vision and coordinate with external advisors.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) and exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation).
- Strong leadership skills, fostering team performance, professional development, and collaboration.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a self-starter attitude and strong work ethic.
- CFP® required; additional certifications (CFA, CPA, CAIA, CIMA) strongly preferred.
