Fintech Accountant

Summary:

Responsible for completing DDA account reconciliations, researching the root cause of outstanding items and determining the best reconciliation approach for new programs.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field.

Experience: Three to five years of related accounting experience in a financial institution. An understanding of electronic and card payment processes preferred.

Experience with data analysis/reporting using SQL Queries and Tableau preferred.

Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Functions:

Job Specific:

• Acts as the primary reconciler for cardholder DDA accounts.
• Monitors selected program funding and adjustment accounts to review source of funding and ensure they are sufficiently funded.
• Researches and resolves transactions; creating outstanding items in cardholder reconciliations.
• Reconciles partner respondent suspense GL accounts.
• Serves as a back-up to the other members of the reconciliation team.

• Strong knowledge of the business area that is being supported.

• Ability to calculate figures as it relates to accounting processes.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, specifically working with macros.
• Ability to manipulate data for meaningful reporting.
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies.
• Ability to work with SQL and Tableau.
