Bring your accounting expertise to help shape how financial data is governed, trusted, and used across Finance. As a member of the Finance Data Integreation and Quality team (DIQ), you'll partner throughout Controllership, Finance and the Enterprise to improve data quality, strengthen controls, and solve complex data challenges. By combining financial knowledge with modern governance practices, you'll help ensure trusted financial data that supports reporting, decision-making, and regulatory compliance.

This role offers an opportunity to expand your finance perspective, influence decisions beyond traditional accounting boundaries, and build expertise in modern data governance and controls.  Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration, and a passion for improving the quality and integrity of financial information.

This position will be hired on a Success Flex basis.  The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following location(s):  1 Nationwide Plaza

Work schedule:

As a Consultant, you'll consult and deliver on changes to the financial systems environment and providing complex impact analysis on those changes; primary domains include business rules (interfaces), reference data, reporting and allocations. We'll count on you to provide operational support for Finance back office processes, systems and reports. In addition, you'll provide oversight of the Finance data model to ensure accurate, credible and relevant Finance data for our business partners.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Consults with Finance business partners to analyze, design, implement, and operationalize solutions with an emphasis on ensuring the integrity of Nationwide's financial data; consults with financial and business unit leadership on complex, multi-functional projects, processes and systems that support strategic financial and corporate initiatives.

Develops, plans and coordinates complex financial projects for business units and the Office of Finance; delivers on all aspects of financial projects according to guidelines, budget, impact, scope and strategic focus; assists in resource planning and project estimation.

Leads the impact analysis and manages the financial data elements owned by Finance Data Governance, such as reference data, business rules, allocation rules; supports data governance applications, researches and advises senior management on the industry practices for obtaining, recording and analyzing data; enforces compliance to standards set forth by FDG.Ensures changes to Finance data flows and elements owned by Finance Data Governance such as reference data, business rules, allocation rules, etc.
